    OVERVIEW PICT IEEE Student Branch was established in 1983 and since the last 7 years, we have been organizing this techfest called CREDENZ. Known to be one of the finest technical symposiums in the country, it comprises mainly of technical competitions like Paper Presentation and C'lash. For the first time, we have introduced two Designing Events –WebWeaver and Pixelate.

    Pixelate, which is initiated in association with Teach For India, is a poster designing competition. This is your chance to communicate your message, not with speech, but with colors, pictures, designs and words!

    Teach For India is a nationwide movement of outstanding college graduates and young professionals who will commit two-years to teach full-time in under resourced schools and who will become lifelong leaders working from within various sectors toward the pursuit of equity in education. It aims to bring about awareness with regard to the quality of education in the country and strives to upgrade the same. It educates those children who do not have adequate resources to attend a conventional school. Teach For India recently won the award for the best non-profit organization to work for in the Economic Times Great Places to Work survey 2011.

    DESIGN BRIEF

    Make a poster with any software like Photoshop, CorelDraw etc to depict a message on any relevant topic under "Education Inequity". Following are some of the suggested topics which can be used as guidelines:

    • Promote education equity in the country

    • Bring about awareness regarding education inequity in our country

    • Encourage people to get educated

    • Denote a message to spread importance of literacy

    Designers have complete creative liberty, and may freely use in their design, the title "Teach For India-REDRAW INDIA", in any of the languages that they are most comfortable using: English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, etc.

    Entrants are free to play with the title in more than one language, but should not use a language they do not write fluently (for example, Chinese, Arabic, Russian).

    Also, each team has the freedom to submit maximum 3 posters per registration!

    NOTE THE FOLLOWING STIPULATIONS

    1. Incorporating the title of the Theme in your poster design is optional, not compulsory.

    2. The final printed poster will be A2-sized (29.7 x 42 cm or 11.693 × 16.535 in).

    3. The final printed posters will include the CREDENZ logo(www.credenz.info) + the official Logo of "TEACH FOR INDIA"(www.teachforindia.org). To accommodate these in the poster design, entrants must save a place in their design where the official logos would be positioned.

    4. All entrants must consult and agree to the competition Rules.

    5. The entrant should be careful to not violate any copyright laws.

    1. Creativity and originality of the design.

    2. Distinct features incorporated in the design.

    3. Persuasiveness o f the design, i.e. the efficiency of the design to convey the required message.

    4. Photoshop skills.

    5. Layering and masking.

    6. The decision of the judges will be final and shall be respected.

    7. Entrants must keep in mind that no offensive remarks will be entertained pertaining to any country, person, region, religion etc.
